Product Description

This item is a great must have item if you have a Nintendo Wii. This will eliminate the need for buying endless batteries for your Nintendo Wii remote and therefore save you money. Simply remove the battery cover from the back of your Wii remote and place one of the supplied 2800mAh batteries in its place. Charge the remote on the stand as shown above and after two hours you will have a fully charged Wii remote which will provide you with up to 16 hours of playing time. The best thing about this item is that it will charge two remotes at the same time (you can play with one while the other is charging) and also it provides a convenient resting place for your remote. Usually stands of this type need to plugged into your Wii and your Wii has to be switched on for the charging to take place. A mains charger is also provided which will independently power the stand from any mains socket for your convenience.

4.0 out of 5 stars Go for the mains adapter 21 Oct 2008
Verified Purchase
I looked around (the Amazon reviews are quite useful) and all the items seemed similar. I opted for the only one with the mains adapter. (I did look on ebay and could not find any at that time). To be able to recharge from any mains socket allows you to place the stand where you want it to be - as it does not need to be plugged into the console.
Otherwise it works as described. It does take time to fully recharge, but the red 'charging, light goes off when if is ready - leaving a blue light to indicate that the stand is still switched on = useful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mains adapter is real bonus 4 Jan 2009
By natcon
Went for this option as wanted a mains adapter. This allows you to use the plug or you can use the wii USB if you prefer. No instructions so bit confusing at first to know when charged. Followed the label on remotes and ensured they had full 12+ hours charge first time. Have now worked out that the station changes from red to blue when remotes are charged. Taking about 4 - 5 hours now!! Charge lasts well and my son happily plays for a few days without problems. Well worth buying!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Charging stand 5 Mar 2009
By Elliot
I read a few reviews on Nintendo Wii chargers and i found that the main problem with the charging stations was charge time or the charger would only charge the Wii-motes unless the console was on.
So after a good long think about weather or not it was worth buying one or maybe buying rechargeable batteries and charger, i stumbled across this.
It's very handy that it comes with a mains charger, it means i can charge it from the mains or from the console, very versatile. And means no need to go through packet after packet of batteries.
The only problem is charging time, but all the charging stations are all the same. I put the remotes on charge at 8:00 this morning, and at 3:00 this afternoon there still charging.

3.0 out of 5 stars Works, but is slow to charge 10 July 2009
By Claude
We brought this to avoid going through vast quantities of AA batteries but found that you need to leave the units on charge 24/7 if you want them ready for a decent session on the Wii. It is well illuminated, lights up the whole room at night and you cannot charge the battery pack without it being attached to the controller. Running 24/7 seems to keep them well charged and battery life is currently good

1.0 out of 5 stars Charging stand 12 May 2014

I'm not really sure if this works or not. No clear instructions on how to use it. The batteries don't charge but I don't know if it's me that is doing it wrong. Would not buy again.

1.0 out of 5 stars I should have known better at my age! 28 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase
This product is absolute junk! It was purchased to keep the "Younger Members" of the family amused at a "Get Together" this weekend. The product arrived very quickly and I put the battery's on to charge. Within 30 minutes, the red light went out, so I tried to use them in the remote - and the one would not work as the Wii indicated a flat battery, and the other only had 50% charge. I checked these with a meter and I think that the Wii was over optimistic!
Tried to adjust the contacts without success, broke one set, so it went in the bin.
My advice - Stick to Duracell rechargeable!
