I purchased this cable instead of buying a proper apple cable, mainly due to cost, however this was one of those circumstance where i should have just brought the proper cable in the first place, as i ended up doing.
THE CABLE DID NOT CHARGE MY IPOD SHUFFLE AT ALL, IT CONDUCTS POWER FROM LAPTOP TO SHUFFLE BUT DOES NOT CHARGE - DO NOT BUT THIS ITEM IF THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT TO USE IT FOR!!!

It never even occured to me that an item so simple, basically a cable! could possibly have any design flaws so it never occured to me to even read the reviews so I blindly handed over my £1.84. However it turns out that my version of this really complicated piece of engineering does have on small fault, IT DOESN'T WORK, and after checking the reviews too late, it appears i'm not the only one, i even tried wiggling it like a fellow satisfied customer described i did did manage to get the charging light to flash for a whole half a second then nothing, (no matter how much i wiggle it!!). My only advice is to AVOID this item, unless you've always wanted a charger that doesn't charge things, brilliant hey!
Note to Amazon i would have liked to have scored this zero stars but you won't let me, how does it deserve a star if it doesn't do the only thing it is required to do

Doesn't work Purchased to replace original that came with Nano, should have held out for one by Apple as I ended up paying for that one anyway.

Useless.
Doesn't work, I would have rather spent money on the real thing! I plugged it in and I noticed it had yellow stains on it, and the metal was rusty. Worst spend of money ever.

DOES NOT WORK
