I bought this USB mains charger because its earth pin is metal rather than plastic, unlike most of the others on the market - although the earth pin isn't used, I've found to my cost that the plastic ones tend to snap when trying to prise the adaptor out of particularly tight-fitting sockets, which one encounters now and again. This unit is sturdy, reasonably compact and so far reliable.
