I bought this for my 2 year old nephew who is a big fan of Fireman Sam and fireman in general. It went down a storm, its good quality, adjustable so fits both his and his older brother (and stays on their heads), has 2 different settings so plays the theme tune or a selection of phrases from Sam and can be switched of, which is a blessing! Worth the money and a good fireman's helmet in general with added "Sam" appeal. Only fault it comes with demo batteries which last 2 minutes so I swapped them before giving it to my nephew. Apart from that I would recommend this to anyone with a fireman Sam fan in their household. Amazon delivered the next day as well.

I brought this helmet for my little boy who is only 2 years old. He has been religiously bringing a cheaper version home from nursery so I thought it would be an ideal Christmas present.
Unfortunately the battery compartment alters the balance of the hat and it falls off easily and we had to take the inside adjustment straps out straight away as they didn't fit our toddlers head and the whole experience upset him. He now plays with it quite happily but has to hold it on his head whilst running around pretending to be a fireman off to an emergency.
Overall this was a disappointment for us, however, the sounds it plays are great fun. If I had had the chance to try before I buy I would have brought a cheaper version but this may be more suitable for an older child.

Bough this for my 5 year old granddaughter for her birthday next month. I was grateful for the existing review about this product, with regard to the sound and battery life. There was very little battery lift when I tested it, and was also puzzled as to when we would hear the 'phrases'. It was only when I opened the product to change the batteries that I discovered the on/off/try me switch.

Sturdy product
Child loves this. Sturdy realistic plastic helmet but a little heavy and daunting for two year old to wear, so he carries it around. I was pleased and would buy again.
