This toy has a few phrases that are played when Rastamouses stomach is squeezed, which include part of the Tv theme tune, "Irie man", and "This riddim is wicked". The clarity of the phrases (and any misinterpretation of them) are dependent on how well the listener knows the show, or able to recognise a Jamaican accent: anyone that hears the word 'weed' instead of 'riddim' should get a grip - this is a kids toy, dagnamit, not Cheech and Chong!

I bought this for my 4 year old Godson in Sweden, and he was fascinated by it. I've since bought him the Cd album, and DVD of the TV programme for Christmas, just to put the whole thing into context

Got this for my little niece, she is 18 months and absolutely LOVES dancing to the theme tune this little dude plays when she presses his tummy (it must be said that she has little interest in the speech clips though and has already learned to skip through those pretty sharpish). So far Lilly has been fed on a diet of pink plastic and Disney (and food) so this has been a breath of fresh air for the whole household (I think).

Quality is good! stitching is great, can see it lasting quite a while even in the hands of a toddler. Not really a soft toy though, not a 'snuggle up to at night' thing.

For those who worry this toy may impact on their child's use of 'correct English', Rastamouse is not English, He's a Jamaican Rastafari, I for one consider cultural diversity and awareness very important and something which should be encouraged from an early age :)

Excellent toy; push its tummy for some 'Wicked' sounds and a short burst of the Rastamouse theme tune. Little disapointed that it has a Skateboard instead of the Guitar he uses to pump out his 'Wicked Tunes' wiv da Easy Crew. Best bit? 'Wha Gwan Fats?' Makes me chuckle every time. Irie.

I bought this toy for my friends little boy who will love it as he's a massive fan, as am I. I was however concerned about the reviewer who said that Rastamouse says "the weed is wicked", but in fact he says "the rythm is wicked".
It's fabulous!!!

Brilliant toy and has all the key words and phrases but the batteries run out far too quickly and he just repeats one word. He has sadly resigned to the loft after just a few weeks as the tantrums when the batteries ran out just weren't worth it :(

I received this toy in the week and am very pleased with it.
It does NOT say "This weed is so wicked" It says "This RIDDIM is so wicked" Riddim means Rhythm when said with a caribbean accent.
Would recommend!

This toy was fantastic and it has been played with ever since. I gave a low scoring for educational value however that doesn't matter as I bought it as a toy not a learning aid. Very happy customer
