BLO - When they stormed the music scene in 1973, it was awesome, magically magnetic. They stood undisputed releasing hit albums; one after another. I have for ever followed their discography and I am making every effort to collect all their albums in cd cuz there will never be another like them. Owning this cd is like owning a box full of treasures. After the unleash of their debut album "Chapter One," that abruptly crossed over ethnic boundaries in Nigeria. A sophomore release "Phase II" hit the radio waves on heavy rotation. I was opportune to watch BLO perform live at Hotel Unicoco in Aba, Abia State; back in the day. I was mesmerized; sitting upfront in the concert arena arms length to drummer, Laolu Akins. It was a sold out concert. If I remember currently, BLO was rescheduled to perform the next day. As a film writer and producer, I am currently in pre-production of a drama-musical that will feature some of the great works of BLO.
