This album is breath taking and I'm so glad of my purchase with my birthday money.

First of all, if you're dithering between the deluxe and standard album - I'm here to tell you to buy the deluxe! So what it costs a bit more, a couple of pounds isn't going to change our lives. There are FANTASTIC extra songs on it that's worth that little bit extra.

The following songs in the order of the album:

1. Ghost - most of us know this catchy pop song played across our radios with its sure beat and catchy tune, it's a winner.

2. Empire - wonderful vocals and again a great, catchy tune.

3. Glow - this song is probably equally as good as Ghost with its great tune and good lyrics to get you singing.

4. Yours - a lovely, short song filled with Ella' s beautiful voice.

5. Mirror Man - a good, solid beat with catchy lyrics.

6. Hard Work - a nice little tune which is gives off a laid-back vibe.

7. Pieces - I have to admit this isn't one of my favourites but it's got a good beat and chorus.

8. The First Time - I really like this song, the lyrics are fun and its a bit of a change from the previous tracks.

9. All Again - I LOVE this song, I think it's one of my favourites, it's beautifully written and its dramatic and full of emotion.

10. Give Your Heart Away - a good track, not one of my favourites but still a good track.

11. Rockets - bouncy, catchy and different, a good track.

12. Lay Down - a beautiful song, beautiful piano player, beautiful lyrics and full of emotion - perfection.

13. Missed - this song shows off Ella' s great vocal skills.

Into the deluxe...

It has been quite sometime since someone who is coming from a talent show, showed true artistry, and released an album not made to be massively consumed, but instead created with care, aiming to showcase material that is worthy of the artist's true potential. In Ella Henderson's case, that was somewhat inevitable. Choosing to sing one of her own songs in the 2012 UK X Factor auditions proved that she was in a different league, and as the show progressed, her talent shone through. She may not have won, but based on these songs, she is destined to enjoy the greatest success of any other fellow contestant. Her anticipated debut record is packed with beautifully crafted songs (all of which she co-writes), merging together a most enjoyable variety of styles. Even more impressive are her performances. Ella is a young girl turning into a woman, yet her voice is so full that is beyond anyone's expectations how she is bursting with genuine emotion, singing her heart out in the most engaging way. One can literally hear her voice break on the verge of tears, and cannot help but wonder of what's to come from her in the future, if she can already exhibit such fervour, and deliver with such consistency. I could argue that she is without doubt the best British reality show non-winner ever, and "Chapter one" is easily the best debut album from one. Take a look at her on the cover, and notice the little detail under her right eye; sure, that sign of a tear is intentional, but it is the subtlety with which it is portrayed that makes it special. A sheer pop revelation, bound to soar. Here's to many more chapters to come!

This album is pure gold! not many people come off the X factor who release an album, or can actually sing, or don't sing mindless pop tunes. Ella created a pure talent album, with no mindless pop tunes. I love the different styles of music! My favourites are Hard Work, Giants, The First Time, Mirror Man and Empire!

What an breathe of fresh air - Ella may not have won the series she was in (which she should have done), but now she is one of the most incredible and talented singer songwriters to come along for years...fresh, modern, original and just incredible.
This album only arrived today, but have already listened to it 3 times - every single song is phenomenal and sung with such a pure voice - I have now only come across 2 albums where every single song on the album is fantastic (This one and Beautiful World), there are no 'filler' songs, every song is individual with a good selection of tempos with the different songs. If this doesn't get to number 1, then there is something seriously wrong.

One of the best albums so far this year, A debut album to be very proud of. its not often you get an album where every track on it is great, but this sure is one, all 18 songs are great. A must for any music lover.

Ella has such a fantastic voice! There's a really nice mixture of genres of music here too.

My favourite song has to be track 2, 'Empire'. Once she gets going in this her voice is so powerful, and very moving. The final track 'Missed', as we heard in her first X-Factor audition, is something that virtually everyone can relate to, and it's nice to hear this track properly produced, but not ruined.

Its becoming increasingly clear that the people that vote on the X-Factor phones cant be trusted to pick the best singers. I had given up watching X-Factor by the time Ella Henderson featured after the best singers got voted off early every series and the winners......well they get worse and worse. Ella Henderson really can sing and although not in the same league as Adele's albums (with whom she has been compared) her voice is better and as her songwriting matures could be a huge artist. This is a very soild pop album with some really good songs and no real duds. What I do love is that there are no "featuring xxxx" and no raps, how refreshing!
