I read this book in one sitting. It's a delight. Amusing anecdotes, fascinating encounters with personalities from the worlds of media and cricket all told in an easy to read, self deprecating manner.
Salisbury bridges the gap between the rich, priveleged world of his childhood in the 1930s and the explosion of the power of the media in the 1950s and 60s. He there at the launch of ITV and the inception of Capital Radio when Commercial radio began. All this is interspersed with a deep and passionate interest in the love of his life - Cricket. A good value read!
