This worked out better than the mixed seed, as the birds only seem to like the sunflower seeds and threw the grain from the mixed seed all over the place.

The sunflower seeds are ideal for feeding wild birds as the majority of garden birds will eat them. The price is very competitive and arrived a day earlier than expected. Free delivery too if ordered with other things. This means it is cheaper than going to the shop and as I don't drive, there is no heavy carrying for me.

Bought these to encourage the birds into my garden. The parakeets get there first and only eat the hearts.
So the skins are left all over the garden. They also work out expensive. I now buy in bulk at a much cheaper rate, and add them to mixed seed.

I would like to think that this is why our birds now like our new window bird feeder. They r worth it.

LOOKS GOOD, GOLDFINCHES LOVE NYGER SEED AND THEY QUEUE UP TO GET SOME SEEDS. UNUSUAL THAT THERE ARE 2 SLITS INSTEAD OF 2 ROUND PECKING HOLES BUT SEED GOES DOWN VERY FAST. GOOD SUCCESS.
