Collector’s Edition

Includes: soundtrack, sticker & extra steam gifting key

The sequel to The award winning hit: ‘Deponia’. Deponia has been critically acclaimed by the gaming press and within a short period, has become the best reviewed German adventure game of all time!

What a mess!
On a landfill-planet called Deponia, lives a clever and ambitious Rufus, who wants nothing more than to get off of Deponia and reach the beautiful flying city of Elysium in the sky.

Rufus, having turned over a new leaf and completely reformed, finds himself having to save love interest Goal from a problem that he has created. Her mind has been split into three parts, each with a fragment of her identity. Using his remarkable charming wit, he needs to earn the respect and affection of each fragment in order to put Goal back together again...and then he needs to venture to Eylsium and save Deponia from certain doom while he's at it!

This second adventure on Deponia tells a unique, self-contained story playable without prior knowledge of the first instalment. Fans of the first game will discover new aspects of familiar characters' backgrounds and see open questions answered.

  • Unique world honoring the tradition of Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett & Matt Groening.

  • Hand-drawn art design in full HD glory & high-quality cartoon animation drawn in comic style.

  • Bizarre characters and wacky humor meet challenging puzzles.

  • Elaborate soundtrack with many atmospheric tracks.

  • From the creators of the award-winning adventures 'Edna & Harvey: The Breakout', 'Edna & Harvey: Harvey's New Eyes' & 'The Whispered World'

5.0 out of 5 stars A great sequel to an Underrated franchise... 6 Mar 2013
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
If you love your old school point and click games, this is a game you must buy.

Deponia has the quirky sense of humour and character styles of games like Simon The Sorcerer and Monkey Island. Everything is just so crazy you never know what will happen next.

Playing lead character Rufus it's up to you to save Deponia whilst causing as much chaos as possible.

An incredibly funny game with great art design. If you love those Adventure games Acquire this and the first game. You won't regret it.

(Note: Steam does run offline and is not as much trouble as the other reviewer stated.)

2.0 out of 5 stars Far too many bugs! 15 Oct 2013

Played this on steam which I haven't tried before so don't know to what extent the faults are down to steam or the game. It takes forever to load and often when arriving at a new screen the action freezes for a long time before starting again. About halfway through it gets in a loop and snatches of odd words are replayed endlessly. At one point the characters go to black cutouts. Towards the end the game repeatedly crashes and it all gets very frustrating. This is such a shame as if it played properly it would be worth 4 stars. It's funny, the characters are interesting and well acted, it's a decent length and very pretty to look at. The negatives are that some of the inventory puzzles are very random and conversations go on a bit too long. If only it wasn't so full of bugs.

1.0 out of 5 stars Warning - requires Steam account 14 Nov 2013

Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
If, like me, you neither have nor want a Steam account, it might come as a shock that you have to have one to run this game. It doesn't actually tell you anywhere on the outside of the box that this is a requirement - you only find out once you remove the cellophane and so can't return it. The product description on the Amazon page doesn't make any mention of it either.

I would avoid buying this edition on principle.

1.0 out of 5 stars Requires Steam Activation - Avoid 5 Mar 2013
    Verified Purchase
Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
This product requires Steam activation (which requires an internet connection). The listing does not state this, but it is a major issue, especially for disc based games. If the service goes down all you will own is an expensive frisbee. Please avoid buying this.

Haven't played the game because I don't want Steam.
