As a professional photographer for over 50 years and having changed to digital photography five years ago, I know all the problems associated with portable studio flash sync-leads, stands umbrellas etc etc. Having five flashguns accumulated over the years from the Canon 580ex, Vivitar, Sunpak etc I wanted a light weight portable system that I could carry with me that is very easy to set up, and wireless. These flash triggers worked perfectly with all my flashes every time even when fired in another room. Combined with the studio stand flash and umbrella holder they fulfilled my specific requirements perfectly.

This kit was a reasonable price and includes a transmitter unit that mounts on the camera and two receivers. The transmitter has two small switches that are used to set the channel should anyone else be using the same device. There is no battery compartment so I assume it uses a small watch type battery. On the top of the unit is a small button that can be used for test firing and a red LED to show it is doing something.

The two receivers are quite small and have a hot shoe for one flash unit, two small switches to set the channel and an on/off switch. These units take two AAA batteries which are easy to replace and obtain. Each of the receivers has a tripod mount on the bottom and a red LED light to show when a signal is received.
The bodies of all three units are made of plastic but because of the small size the all feel quite strong.

Do they work? Yes! Attached one receiver to my Pentax unit, one to the Sigma unit powered them up and then switched on the receivers. Switch them on before you power up your flash units as that will fire the flash. That is OK if you are not looking at the flash tube whilst you switch them on - can still see the tube after a few minutes! I have only done a few test shots so far and they have fired every time. Not sure what the effective distance is but 20ft through a wall did work. The instructions say they should work up to 20 metres.

I was initially very pleased with the trigger and receivers and was impressed at the actual range that they worked over (some 50ft). One of the receivers though has started to trigger itself and has essentially become redundant :( This is only after 5 trips out.

For this price can be
The product received quickly and packaged nicely, sometimes stutters, but I think for this price is ok, the vendor-recommended favorably. You have to buy their own batteries AAA.
