On the other hand, the range of comedians and the pure, unstoppable humour of the evening is absolutely worth 5 Stars - although hearing "How are you all doing?" 30-40 times does wear a bit thin - a fact Jack Dee actually commented on towards the end of the night in his typical grumpy style.
Apparently a comedy gala 2011 is being planned so to the powers that be:
Don't edit some of the highlights out and then promote it as the entire show or you will have some very dissatisfied customers.
Its about two hours long.
I do not like all the comedians on this dvd, but still found it great and could
watch it over and over.
Obviously not everyones taste in comedy is the same, but for those of you who like Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Sean Lock, Michael McIntyre, James Corden, Ruth Jones, Rich Hall, Rob Brydon, Alan Carr, Andy Parsons, Bill Bailey, Catherine Tate, Jo Brand etc etc then from your fave comedians and many more theres bound to be lots to get your comedic taste buds tingling.
Many of the acts were completely overwhelmed at doing the o2 including Johnathon Ross who away from the prying eyes of Auntie (The B.B.C.) decided to encite the entire audience of the o2 to yell out a "certain" word, which if it doesn't see the cutting room floor will see the DVD reclassified from 15 to 18.
Also will be interesting to see if they cut out Michael McIntyre being chased literally, off stage by Alex Reid.
The dvd in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital is bound to be an enormous crowd pleaser and will fill all your homes with plenty of laughs and comedy.
But this one will go straight in the Sunday boot-sale. A waste of money!
