My only problem with this laptop (my first) is that the hovering pointer opens whatever it rests on and the zoom is a pest for changing up or down in Explorer. It changes even though the pointer is nowhere near the change zoom level button. What can I do to stop this. Any suggestions please.
Hi I had same problem. Asked ACER helpdesk - no response - useless!! So sorted it out myself as follows: Control panel Hardwre & sound Mouse Device settings Settings Pointer motion Pinch - uncheck this option then OK....
This is a great PC apart from having this setting as the default. It was driving my kids (and hence me!) crazy. Marc.
Alternatively got to the taskbar at bottom right, find the upward pointing arrow, hovering over it should bring the message "show hidden icons". Click this and hover over the options until you find "synaptics pointing device" or similar. Go to "pointing device properties" then the tab for device settings, then the "device settings" button. You should now have a "Pinch Zoom" option, click this then uncheck the "Enable Pinch Zoom" checkbox. It's like having a new laptop. No more going to that spanner at top right in google chrome and resetting the zoom to 100%. Yippee!
