Amazon.co.uk Review
Changing Faces is a dazzling showcase of the best of
Louise's EMI years. Encompassing her three solo albums, the collection also includes tracks from her
Eternal days. Whilst those times may not have been the happiest periods for her personally, her early work with the all female quartet was undoubtedly her best. Even though solo tracks such as "Naked", "Let's Go Round Again" and "One Kiss From Heaven" did come close to matching the "Always and Forever" days, nothing can really compete with the wonderful harmonies of "Just A Step From Heaven" and "Stay". Her cover of Gerry Rafferty's "Stuck In The Middle With You" though is a wonderful finale to the nine years she's spent with EMI. Other "new" tracks include a lacklustre version of Five Star's 1987 hit "The Slightest Touch" which chugs along rather unremarkably, and the disappointing collection closer "Come and Get It". Ignoring these "fillers" this a brilliant reminder of the golden years in which Louise's scaled the heady heights of the UK's Top 10. --
