The story of a talented ballet dancer who seeks true love and companionship in a world of material beauty. Myriam (Alessandra Martines) is a single mother and ballet star who performs on the stages in Venice, Rome and Milan. Her life would be complete if she could have one thing: love.
One day she meets a charming art forger (Pierre Arditi) in Venice. She falls in love, suffers a sudden terrible tragedy and sets out to regain a sense of living by seeking mementoes of her lost ones.
On her journey she meets a man (Marc Hollogne) by chance, and by a strange coincidence, he is the one man who can bring happiness back to her unstable life. An unlikely hero, and slightly eccentric in manner, he comes to Myriam's rescue in her hour of need.
Claude Lelouch (Les Miserables) directs with a visual flair and imagination that gives this film a unique aesthetic beauty. A romatic Gallic masterpiece.

What an Incredible Film,

After the first 10 minutes or so of this film i was prepared to cast it into the home of poor French films,which incidently is a rare event.Fortunately i kept going and witnessed a film that captivated my attention.It is an incredible tale of love and Tragedy through the Eyes of a Camcorder.The Incredibly beautiful,Alesandra Martines (Myrium)is the single mother who finds love with an older man and just as her life begins to have meaning once more,Tragedy strikes leaving her devasted and alone.The Strikingly beautiful Martines who is incidently the wife of the Director of the film Claude Lelouch,(LUCKY MAN) decides to revisit the places that had shaped her life and the evidence of her whole life is captured on her Camcorder.Of course life can deal you many bad hands and Once more Tragedy strikes as she loses her Camcorder.fortunately for her this time it will eventually enable her to meet a rather Eccentric and odd hero in Mr Deschamps (Marc Hollogne).Mr Deshamps is a great believer in Chances and Coincidence and his Theory is about to be Challenged and put to the test.You have a feeling that you are now sucked into this film and can only sense the utter Frustrations and optimisms of life as the paths of our two heroes are so close at times and yet a million miles away at others.You find yourself willing Mr Deschamps in his quest to find the Lady that he knows will change his life, but can our hero reach her in time and will she meet his affections with the same Enthusiasm?It is not a plot to be spoiled and i cannot say enough good things about this wonderful film,other than to say watch this film and you will experience sadness,joy Hapiness and a mixture of Emotions and suspense.The Director Claude Lelouch has continued his trend of making highly entertaining films and you almost feel like you have been asked to take part in the plot of this film as you almost Beg for it to end in a Destiny,that you feel this film richly deserves.I Suggest you try this film asap.The French have a wonderful flair for film making and this film does nothing to harm their wonderful Talents.FRENCH FILMS ARE SIMPLY SO WONDERFUL!!!

A movie you'l love to hate...,

I watched this movie on the Sundance channel with growing annoyance at the pomposity & pretentiousness of its characters & their vapid pseudo-"thoughts". This film seems to embody every negative quality Francophobes love to throw (unfairly for the most part) at most French movies. Then I discovered that it was directed by none other than Claude Lelouch, the director of A Man and a Woman, the only movie I ever slept almost entirely through (in a theater). Well, at least he's consistent.
