Great for skinny guys!

I used this product years ago as a teenager. I was very skinny and this helped me add some overall weight. Something to keep in mind with most weight gainers (including this one) is that they are basically sugar based with some protein and vitamins thrown in. Maltodextrin, fructose etc. are all sugars of various forms- you'll see them on the label. With that in mind I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone who is already at a bodyfat level higher than 15% or so (i.e. those who can't see their abs) as this much sugar in a product is guaranteed to add some fat as well as muscle. To those with a super speedy metabolism the effect is minimized and carbohydrates (sugar) are protein and muscle sparing.
Also, if you are very budget minded, a good protein powder (bulk whey concentrate for example) mixed with table sugar will basically do the same thing and come out a bit cheaper. In fact, that way you can "customize" the ratio of protein to sugar based on your particular needs. But, if you are looking for something with a relatively cheap price (less than $5 per lb.) and pretty good taste, this may be a good product for you.

- Only has 630 calories per serving.
- The taste of the Chocolate shake is OK, but not great. I don't like it very much.
- It's not very easy to mix it with spoon, but here's what you can do: mix it, then leave it for a while, and then mix it again before drinking it.
Here's the info:
Serving Size 4 packed scoops (154 g)
Servings Per Container: 21
w/ 2 cups water
Calories: 630 (NOT 900!)
Calories from Fat: 90

Protein: 35 g.
w/ 2 cups milk
Calories: 930
Calories from Fat: 230
...
Protein: 51 g.
Recommended Use:
Gradually add 4 scoops of HeavyWeight into 2 cups (16 oz. or 500 ml) of cold water or milk with continuous mixing.
Use up to 3 times daily: 45 minutes before training, immediately after training and 1 hour before bedtime. Eat at least 4 meals of regular food each day.

Item is great, packaging by Amazon, not so much!

This is one of my husband's favorite protein powders to drink- and he has tried many. He has purchased this for years form a different source, but this was the first time from Amazon. It was at my request that we ordered the powder from Amazon, and unfortunately Amazon gets a big fat F for packaging! The two containers arrived together in a box with no protection around them, and the rigid plastic containers had cracked in transit (I assume- surely they wouldn't send us cracked ones right?), and there was chocolate powder everywhere in the box. We immediately had to transfer what was left of the powder in his old container that was just about empty. We will not be ordering this again from Amazon- but we will still continue to get this protein shake, because it is excellent. Choco is my husband's favorite, but he has tried the others, and likes them all.
