Stuff isnt bad. For the price, couldn't beat it tho. 22$ for a 7lb gainer! The taste is alright, not the best in the world but hey, its protein, just work out, chug it down, rest, repeat. As for the mixibility/consistency, its not as good as say, Optimum Nutrition gainer. I usually take 2 full scoops of this in water, and milk whenever available in my Blender Bottle, and even with the whisk ball, I still get clumps after vigorously shaking it. Now if you had a blender, all the more power to you, it'd probably mix better.
How well is it? Well, I've finished my 7 lb tub of Chocolate gainer from Champion Nutrition and Ive finished my 7 lb tub of Strawberry gainer from Champion Nutrition and I've put on about 5 lbs (I weight myself every morning after a good bowel movement) Starting weight was 149, I'm consistently at 154 now. I don't have a bench to measure my performance in terms of strength increase, but I do have the bowflex adjustable dumbells and before I was only able to do 40 lb flat dumbbell presses. About 3 weeks later, I am able to do 5x5 sets of the 52.5 (the max the adjustable dumbbells can go up to). Then again, it may be because I upgraded to a more sturdy bench as well, haha!
I do notice a slight physical appearance difference though; I'll admit I catch myself getting out the shower and flexing once in a while to see if there's any changes. My girlfriend has caught on and has mentioned that I'm lookin great (thanks Champ. Nutrition!) and the scale doesnt lie, so the gainer is definitely working. Would I purchase this again? Probably. The taste isn't bad; the mixibility is bearable if I shake my blender bottle super-hard. The 5 lb weight gain is with lifting low reps, heavy weights program. right now I'm on a 5x5 program, consuming about 5-6 medium sized meals a day. My diet is not the cleanest (During my work lunch breaks if I didn't pack food, I'll tear up two instant cup noodles and a bowl of microwavable Ravioli = 800 calories just to get some type of carbs, protein and calories in me) but on a stricter protein/carb diet with less fat, I know my gains can be better.
Overall, I'd rate this product at 7 out of 10.
Flavor: 7/10 Not bad. In Milk this is pretty good.
Mixibility: 5/10 Need to shake vigorously to get no clumps if you have a blender bottle.
Does it work: With a consistent workout plan and eatting multiple meals and hitting your calories, YES.
