An excellent coffee table book - pen portraits of Lancashire's finest minds, social campaigners and shining stars from the arts and entertainment world. Enjoyable to read about the recently deceased Lancastrians such as Thora Herd, Fred Dibnah (genius) and the much missed Eric Morecambe, and informative and enlightening to find out about John O' Gaunt and other important figures from longer ago in our county's rich and world shaping (you, yes you at the back from Leeds, stop laughing, it's true!) history. After all, the industrial revolution's dictionary definition does say "see Lancashire", and has anyone ever beaten Morecambe's most famous son, Eric, in the popularity contest of the Christmas Day TV ratings?
Lancashire, Lancashire, Uber Alles. Buy the book.
