This revised edition offers help and solutions for all crossword puzzlers and wordgame enthusiasts. Specially devised to help the wordgame player who knows the end of a word but not the beginning of it, the words are listed by length and in alphabetical order from the end of each word. Features include: compounds, phrases and proper names and clear and easy-to-read layout for rapid scanning.
The Chambers crossword/Scrabble aids are essential reference works for serious cryptic crossword addicts, but have two weaknesses. The first is that they do not stand up well to the daily handling they receive - some less well than others - and, second, they are not republished often enough. There are good economic reasons for both of these, which stem largely from the fact that the market is small, but (as a user) I naturally regret it. So, I love them, but can't give 'em five stars.
