4.0 out of 5 stars YOU'RE HAVING MY BABY! 21 Aug 2013
By The Movie Guy TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:DVD
Also released under the title "Lovesick: Sick Love." This is the same crew that did "Penetration Angst." Julia (Fiona Horsey) has two jobs (chambermaid, barmaid) to support her lazy musician boyfriend, Istvan (William Rowsey). He owes some guys with a combination British-Russian accents drug money, as he also has a cocaine problem. He imposes on Julia for the cash.

The hotel that Julia works for is managed by the creepy, peeping Michael O'Ryan (Paul Conway). He has to care for an invalid unlikeable mother (Jessica Barnes).

The movie turns ugly quickly as Fiona has to leave her job as a chambermaid. She gives a guest who is also a politician a hand favor in exchange for cash, which he then turns around and accuses her of stealing. However, Julia gets back at them in a way that causes her to break up with Istvan and winds up in the arms of the perverted Michael...er sort of as she constantly has her period and doesn't consummate the relationship. Of course if you have ever watched a Wolfgang Büld film before you know this is far from the last twist. Terrible band dubbing.

Sex, full frontal nudity, sleep rape (Fiona Horsey) If you enjoy Fiona Horsey films there is a 12 pack called Blood Bath which features 3 of her movies.

5.0 out of 5 stars A suspense thriller movie experience 8 July 2007
By Midwest Book Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format:DVD
Michael runs a hotel while his overbearing and domineering mother runs Michael's life. But it's when Michael hires the young and beautiful Julia to be a housemaid that the real problems begin. Julia is on probation and trying to support herself while paying for her boyfriend Istvan's nasty habits. The result is that eternal triangle -- complicated by a mother's hatred, blackmail, manipulation, and double-crosses. Starring Fiona Horsey, Paul Conway, and William Rowsey, "The Chambermaid" was shot on location in Northern England. This enthusiastically recommended DVD edition of a suspense thriller movie experience also features a photo gallery, interactive menus, scene selection, trailers, and the option for Spanish subtitles. Full color, 94 minutes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pleasantly surprised. 15 July 2014

Twists and turns kept my interest. Acting may be the weak point of this thriller.

This movie surprise me I thought it was going to be boring but it proved to be very exciting with a great ending!
4.0 out of 5 stars cool, light entertainment 11 Jun 2013
By .fgd - Published on Amazon.com
Format:DVD
The main aspect pervading this film is a gritty, playful sense of humour. The British do dark humour well. It involves a cool chick with a grungey boyfriend. She gets involved with a nerdish boss, a way to make ends meet because her fella cant afford his drug habits. It is a british film because it is their version of cool or nerdish. I liked the pace of this film alot that never sagged and a screenplay that always held my interest. It is a simple yarn for light entertainment that is tastefully executed.
