Product Description

Jaded war correspondent Ryan Armstrong reports terrible events without letting them pierce the armor covering his heart. When his colleague Emily Harte is murdered, he feels responsible for her death, and travels to England to return Emily’s effects to her daughter.
Bereaved, primary school teacher, Andie Harte has set herself a list of challenges to prove she can be as brave as her recently murdered mother, but when she’s hounded by the press the need to escape means she must accept help from Ryan. During their time in seclusion, attraction blossoms into an affair. Their relationship was only supposed to be a fling. When the time comes for Ryan to return to Bekostan, can she risk loving a thrillseeker, or is that a challenge too far?
Ryan avoids love, knowing the pain losing it can bring. A life without Andie is sensible, but is it possible?

About the Author

Born into a family of voracious readers and consumed by the family affliction, it seemed the natural next step was to write. I started in school, mentally writing poetry while running around the hockey pitch. Nowadays, I keep my running to a minimum, and write instead. I live in Ireland, and when I’m not reading or writing, am usually to be found in traffic, driving ‘Mum’s taxi.’

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Read from Clements 13 Sep 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Challenging Andie is the second novel by Sally Celements I've read, and I think she just keeps getting better! The chemistry between heroine Andie and war correspondent Ryan is believable, while not being too over-the-top - just the right balance between physical and emotional attraction, in my opinion. I look forward to more from Clements!

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good contemporary romance! 4 July 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It's now the third book by Sally Clement I read. And it's only getting better and better! Challenging Andie is my fav. The characters are finely drawn, and their backstory is complex and dark enough without feeling like you need a therapy session after turning the last page. Very satisfying and well-written contemporary romance!

4.0 out of 5 stars A pleasant read 25 Sep 2012
By GrandCanyonGal - Published on Amazon.com

Make no mistake here - this is a romance novel. As such, it was lust at first sight. However, the characters were believable. The story line was surprisingly well developed given the main (dare I say it?) thrust of the book. The ending was predictable. The atmosphere of both the English and Middle Eastern settings were nicely drawn.

I'm quite surprised that I enjoyed this book as much as I did. If you have a rainy week-end, the sniffles, or a long flight, reading this little book will be just the thing.

I've read nothing by this author previously.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for this review.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable read 3 Sep 2012
By bookophile - Published on Amazon.com

I received a complimentary copy of this book in order to review it, but I would have considered it worth it if I had actually purchased it. I have read and enjoyed other books by this author, and I was not disappointed by Challenging Andie.
Both of the major characters had unresolved issues from their pasts which complicated their relationship. It was interesting to watch their relationship develop and to see how each came to terms with childhood rejection issues to eventually get their HEA.

I just spent much of the day on the sofa reading Challenging Andie. I just could not put it down. The characters each have their emotional problems and the ending was what I would have wanted. I am ready to order more books by Sally Clements.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story! 5 Nov 2012
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I love it when I get a book for free and am so enraptured by it that I'm compelled to write a review (yeah....I only review the ones I love! :) ).
I don't like reviews that simply rehash the plot. So all I'll say is that the premise was very believable and the character development stellar. And while I enjoy a hot romance as much as the next person, when it was in this story (and oh yes, it was) it was not the focus but when it was there it added depth to the story and did not become a distraction from it. This author's style just resonated with me...there were several lines sprinkled throughout that I stopped to read a few times because the language she used was so rich. This was a well-written book.
Whoever decides to give away books for free knows what they're doing, because now I have to read more by this author.
