A sparkling story of love on the slopes by a great new voice in romantic fiction.
The ski season. A glamorous world of snowy pistes, gorgeous ski instructors and glittering après-ski nightlife. What’s not to love?
Quite a lot, thinks Millie Braythorpe. Four months of endless bed-making and cooking for guests have taken their toll, and the only thing she really looks forward to is her nightly gig singing in a little French bar. Then handsome troublemaker Luke comes to stay at her chalet, and before she knows it Millie’s head over heels in love. But is Luke to be trusted, or is her Alpine romance destined to end in heartbreak?

Wonderful read!,

This review is from: The Chalet Girl (Little Black Dress) (Paperback)
I loved this book so much that I devoured it in one sitting. I just thought this book was a wonderful read. Millie is adoreable and she is such a likeable character you are really hoping everything will work out for her. I have since ordered Kates other books and cannot wait to read them as I've high hopes after this one.

A warm hearted story of love on the pistes,
By Liz (UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Chalet Girl (Little Black Dress) (Paperback)
The Chalet Girl was one of my favourite Little Black Dress books so far because it had such warmth and heart. Millie, the heroine, was extremely engaging and I was rooting for her to overcome her horrible background and triumph. Luke was a gorgeous, sympathetic hero and I enjoyed hearing about the life of a chalet girl - certainly not all glamour and the plot zips along to an exciting conclusion. One to read any time of year, not just in winter.

Frothy and fun,
This review is from: The Chalet Girl (Little Black Dress) (Hardcover)
I loved this book. It's frothy and fun and reminded me of those early Jilly Cooper books - Emily, Bella etc. The heroine, Millie Braythorpe,is lovely and has had such a horrible upbringing that you're really willing for everything to work out for her in the end. I'm looking forward to reading more Kate Lace!
