This little film appears to be a product of the 'Bound Heat' factory of soft core B&D product as many of its' familiar plot elements (slave girls in the mines) and sets (the 'cave') are in evidence. The plot is pretty simplistic: a group of vestal virgins who are being 'saved' to marry the crown prince of some mythical kingdom are kidnapped by the prince's evil, power hungery, sister and forced to work in the silver mines that bring wealth to the country while the virgin's protectoress (a sort of mystical priestess) struggles to free them. The strong point (such as it is) of these light weight little dramas is decidedly the bevy of young Eastern European beauties that each film assembles to run around in skimpy tunics and show flashes of naked flesh. All of the girls in the piece are very attractive and the two lead actresses put in credible performances (given what they have to work with) but the soft core nature of the production doesn't really generate much 'heat' on any level. I've gotten the impression from comments of other reviewers that there may be two versions of some of the 'Bound Heat' product - one that is censored to a degree and an uncensored version available from the Producers themselves on their own website. Hard to say if the "Medieval Fleshpots' was issued in a 'stronger' edition - there did seem to be 'cuts' in several scenes where things were about to get a little nasty (like 'branding' a girl, etc.) but, generally, the tone was relatively 'soft'. If you enjoy looking at cute Czech babes this flik is a pretty decent way to waste 90 odd minutes, but don't expect to get too excited by this one.
