Product Description

A familiar urban legend gets a chilling new twist when a group of high school friends all receive a chain e-mail claiming that someone close to them will soon die if they fail to keep the message circulating. At first Jessie Campbell (Nikki Reed) thought it might just be a sick joke but when her friends break the chain and people start to die she realises it's only a matter of time until the Chain Man comes to claim her too.

2.0 out of 5 stars B Movie Gore Fest 27 April 2011
Format:DVD
Bought this on a whim - seemed like it might be okay from the cover / started off with potential - but quickly faded into farce. The story made no sense whatsoever - it was never explained who the killer was / why he picked these individuals for slaughter & even when they did what was required by sending the email to 5 other people - they still got killed ?? The film ended abruptly / it never stopped raining for days - the biggest worry i would have thought for the townsfolk was not the killer, but the potential loss of life after weeks of rain ! Nobody switched on any lights in their home and all the teenagers seemed to live alone - you never see any parents - mmm ! Not the worst horror film i've seen - but worth a watch, just to spot all the errors.

1.0 out of 5 stars Product description sums it up... 27 Jun 2011

... but it should really be zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I'd say the plot has more holes in it than a road after the snow, but that would at least imply that there was some attempt at a plot (which there clearly isn't).
Can't even recommend it for the gore - there's nothing remotely original about any of it (it tries desperately to steal from the likes of Saw and Hostel but can't even manage that).

Don't watch it... well, not unless you've got friends round that you really want to get rid of... ;-)

1.0 out of 5 stars Execrable.
Terrible post-Saw, annoying-teen death-fest. Fine character actors Keith David and Brad Dourif deserve better. The guy who took lunch orders on-set deserves better. Read more
