not good for dry skin 29 Feb 2012
By lavadar
I found it too drying for my skin, even though it made my skin clean, I think for people with dry skin it is not good for the winter time.

Wonderful as shampoo! 9 Nov 2009
By NancyB - Published on Amazon.com
I have certain detergent allergies, and for years I could only use shampoos containing salicylic acid, or die from itchy scalp. I wanted to try something gentler, but effective, and started my search.

I read an article about Cetaphil Lotion Cleanser being used as a shampoo, and bought 2 bottles at COSTCO, with a bonus of the cleansing bar.

The lotion cleanser is wonderful for removing make-up, and for very gentle cleansing. I didn't feel it really cleaned my hair well, and I might have returned to the salicylic acid shampoos, but I decided to try the cleansing bar on my scalp as it foamed well and rinsed well on my skin.

Eureka! The cleansing bar, which is downright CHEAP for what it does, makes a fabulous hair shampoo. And, I know this seems nuts, but I deliberately placed suds in my eyes and there was no stinging (generic bars DO sting, but not Cetaphil).

I'm happy-happy-happy, and I no longer have to scan Ebay for sales on psoriasis preventive shampoo!

This soap is supposed to be for dry ... 6 Dec 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This soap is supposed to be for dry skin, and while it felt very creamy when I applied it to my hands, my hands still became cracked with the dry winter air. I think I'll stick to Dove in the future, but the Cetaphil did have a nice scent --very clean and almost floral. However, it was a very soft soap, and after about 5 days it's half the size it was when I received it.

LOVE this 4 Jan 2004
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
I love Anti-bacterial Cetaphil. My dermatologist recommended it for my minor breakout problems and it seems to be the best I've used so far. (I'm 24, so I've used a lot of them.) During the winter, I switch off and on between the anti-bacterial Cetaphil and the regular Cetaphil so that my face doesnt get too dry. I recommend this to anyone who face both acne and sensitive skin problems.
