This is a very interesting book. It is not a howtotrain book, but has lots of thoughts from different people on what training is, and it is packed full of tips. Maybe, just maybe, it would have made more sense with a section at the start on 'what is training', because one thing that's obvious on reading it is that people define training in different ways. Like you take your dog for a walk, dog walks nicely on a lead, stands at kerb on command ... is that training? For Cesar it looks like no, but for all practical purposes it is training, and is far more useful than some fancy obedience exercises learnt in some formal training classes. Cesar is starting to think hard, he's is no longer the macho lion tamer of his youth, he is now using his brain cells. Very interesting for anyone at all curious about how dogs can learn to be civilised, and to do things that interest them and their owners.
