I was looking for a good, durable and heavy punchbag to get back in shape and after reading the reviews on this bag on other forums and amazon.com, I thought it was the one. It had good marks all accross the board and people raved on about it's strength and weight.
After setting up the rather flimsy feeling bag onto the stand I was starting to feel a bit dubious, but thought it could only get better. I couldn't get my hands on any sand so had to make do with water, which should have been adequate as a lot of the 5 star reviews were made with water in the base. Well, after filling it up and putting the cap on, it started to leak a tiny trickle of water. Not so good. Cleaned it up and took a bit of the water out and set it up for training.
One quick flurry of punches and the thing moved back about 2 feet, and I mean quick. Four punch flurry = 2 feet movement. Plus, water had started to trickle out of the cap again due to the movement. Hmmmm. So I got it in position again and this time did a side kick ... nearly flew accross the room. Excellent, I have a £170 punchbag that cannot take a punch and cries at the thought of a kick.
I will try it again later with sand in when I move house, but until then, I guess I will have to stick to likkle baby punches and practice knee hits whilst holding it still. I feel letdown.
