Bouncing around rugged landscapes,

At first glance this game looks like it was derived from the engine for Ford Racing 3. The graphics are similar and the types of challenges are the same, plus a few extras like the artifact search missions. However in some ways this game is a step back from FR3. FR3 also included trucks so the comparison is easy to make. However it feels like they've gone over the top on the suspension with this one, so driving round the tracks often feels like a bouncy castle. There's nowhere near the same amount of realism as in FR3 and the trucks in FR3 handled better too. Also although the graphics are decent enough, they don't come close to the current generation of racers, which makes the game look slightly dated.
There are some good elements. The off-road scenario provides a welcome change to the mass of street racing games around. The types of challenges are similar to those found in FR3, such as time trials, the hourglass collection and a new one in the form of the artifact discovery missions. There are far more races in the competition career too, so there's a good variety of things to do which keeps the game fun to play. In general this would have been a lot better if they'd left the car handling physics alone and concentrated more on improving the graphics. Overall this doesn't provide quite the off-road driving challenge I was hoping for.

I was a bit worried by some of the other reviews for this game but it was so cheap I thought what the h*ll and bought it. I'm really glad I did - I love it! The car physics and handling are superb and the game progression is spot on and will keep you coming back for more. I made the mistake of showing it to my little boy the other day and he's been playing it so much that I can't get a look in!.....

At first, this game looked good and i bought it as soon as it came out. although, i was disspointed by the quality of the graphics. also, on the set tracks, there isn't much freedom to go off road, it's all on a track and it gets quite boring and frustrating after a while.
i had to send the game back because it didn't really live up to my expectations, i wouldn't reccommend this game. Try something like 'insane' for a real off road racing experience :) 2115|RI2KCXYNZ5JFZ;2115|R3PJX8OVGWPN32;2115|R1DQ7N5SPKQULT;
