4.0 out of 5 stars Strange but good 21 Mar 2011

What started out in the first book as alternate history suddenly becomes SF/Fantasy. There are two strands, the Battle for London and the Battle for Mars but it all ends very quickly, with confusion and loose ends. A sequel perhaps?

3.0 out of 5 stars Good seqel 1 Aug 2013

The first book was good, and I enjoyed this one just as much. You do need to have read the first though to really understand the plot. It clarifies a lot from the first part, and the characters grow into the roles well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best of the three 4 April 2013

But there are gaps to be filled. What happens to Murdoch et al after leaving Mars. What about Britain Vs. Germany and the Confederacy. Oh, and did John Murdoch and Jane Archer get together. Usually these type of stories have a burgeoning love story but, I digress. Hopefully it will be explained in the offshoot books but still, I really would recommend this book.
