How does a basal digital thermometer help?
Basically there is a slight temperature drop just before ovulation occurs and then a distinct temperature rise of about 0.40 to 1.0 degrees Celsius (Centigrade) after ovulation takes place. By plotting your temperature change during your cycle you will know when you have ovulated.

The themometer, chart and pregnancy tests were all fantastic. I would definately recommend the thermometer and chart to anyone who has irregular periods or someone trying for a baby that does not quite know when they ovulate.
We had been trying for a baby for 8 months and I had my ovulation date all wrong until I started measuring my temp every morning.
Never really got a result from the ovulation tests but did not use them as recommended as kept forgetting. Tended to use the thermometer more to define dates. Pregnancy tests were all correct when actually pregnant and used 8 (one each day for over a week - couldn't quite believe we'd done it!)and all came back with the same result. Now due in April and could not be happier!

The only thing about this product is that the last temp doesn't stay long in the window. If you blink ...you'll miss it.
Ovulation tests never showed a positive, despite using twice a day as per instructions in case LH surge was short. Used them in conjunction with another brand which did give a positive at the same time as temperature shift so know I definitely ovulated.
Pregnancy test fared no better - showed a negative result when in fact I was pregnant.
I suppose they work for some people, just not for me!
