Anyone claiming this as just a run of the mill romance has missed the strong heart and emotions of this book. The plot has been done before - two women falling for the same man. If I recall, one of the Bronte books touched just such a theme. Anyone care to remind me which one?

But Freethy brings a whole fresh feel to this love triangle, so you've just got to keep turning those pages to find out how it all turns out.

Tessa and Sam really came alive for me as characters and the descriptions of the Oregon coast were wonderful. At times I felt transported there, which is just how good novels should be. I felt a bit guilty because I picked this one up for free. I'd have gladly paid for or five dollars for it.

I came across this author when I read it on a friend's kindle, I just love the way she writes, this is the third book I've read. I really enjoyed this book because she told the story from 3 points of view. All 3 of them are very likeable characters. I can't wait to buy another one of her books.

I am fast becoming a fan of Barbara Freethy novels. I just love the way that she takes what can seem to be a run of the mill plot and make it come alive. Sometimes so alive that I can get quite frustrated with the characters and their apparent indecision or unwillingness to accept something - but that is part of becoming immersed in the book. It has the usual happy ending - thankfully! - but all the way through it you are wondering how the love triangle will work out...

Excellent story making you feel like one of the characters. Kept you wondering right until the end which sister Sam would end up with. Perfect story with a perfect ending.
