On a whole the book is a great starting point for this type of 'art' if you want to call it that. My problem was that the book lacked any creativity or humour, after one flick through I never had the urge to review again. Many of the scenes/scenarios are repetitive and some of the cement figures look more like blobs than actual 'people'. A lot of the figures are also re-used in the same form.
I would recommend
Little People in the City: The Street Art of Slinkachu (foreword by Will Self) as an alternative for anyone that has a soft spot for this art. It offers a lot more creativity and imagination as well a 'Borrowers' style feel to everything with many of the humorous scenes coming from 'us v them' situations.
As mentioned above a good starting point but I would reccorecommend Little People in the City much more!
