This collection of 19 tracks is beautifully played - the harp all soft and tinkly, the occasional accompaniment (sax, clarinet, percussion) subdued and often innovative. But... less than half of the tracks can be said to be Celtic music, or even traditional British Isles.
What was I expecting from a CD called `Celtic Harp'? - well, maybe leprechauns in the bushes and `Danny Boy' in ten different arrangements. At any rate, NOT `The sound of silence', `For the good times' or `Kum Ba Ya' - not to mention more than 6 minutes of the love theme from `Titanic'. Some of these are intriguingly arranged - especially the haunting version of `Where have all the flowers gone', which is more like an extended (4'20) fantasia over a theme than a direct rendering of the well-known Pete Seeger song. But - be warned! Yes, you're getting a CD of harp music. It's lovely - but Celtic? (OK, the harp may be a Celtic one - there is no descriptive folder/jacket - but I still think the labelling is misleading.)
