...after a few uses, the rivet holding the two arms together came apart. This is quite pricy for a traditional nutcracker, so it's disppointing that it wasn't assembled with more care. Fortunately a bang with a hammer re-set the rivet, and it's now ok. Upsides are that it does look classy, and being made of stainless steel (apparently) it should outlast the several alloy nutcrackers we have broken whilst cracking almonds.

Nut Cracker 2 Jan 2010
This nut cracker is very good. It is heavy duty and there are no nuts it cant crack. Very sturdy and good looking with 2 different sizes for smaller and larger nuts, hehe.

I would highly reccommend it.
