This is a poor quality CCD, it does not work well for Astrophotography purposes. Too often the image is unusable, the controls are inept, the instructions offered for it's use are worthless as they explain nothing, you will need to adept the installation onto any computer using Vista or W7 as the installation package offered is non compatible with those OS'.
This is attractive due to the reasonable cost, but it provides extremely poor images, is only useful on some of our solar system planets, does not work for DSO and will result in frustration, wasted time and you end up buying a good CCD.
Buy another CCD and avoid the Celestron Neximage CCD

I bought this piece of equipment to compliment a Celestron telescope that I have owned for some time. I thought the price was a bit hefty when I initially placed my order but the thought of happy snaps of my stargazings was quite attractive. The product relies on USB to power it (I dont remember if the advert mentioned that but its besides the point) and uses a driver which was not at all compatible with my windows 7... so after some screwing around and a considerable amount of agrovation I managed to find an updated driver which turns out is actually just a Phillips webcam driver...
Installed that and took her for a spin... sadly the picture quality is terrible and had I been able to send it back in time I most certainly would have done so without a seconds thought.

This isn't bad for the money although a webcam would be an easier solution to work with. So far have only used it for planetary observations and that is where I think its strengths lay. Had to build an XP system specifically for this as no recent drivers. Will probably opt for a DSLR Camera and software next as more flexible.
