Bought for less that £20 and deliverd next day - nice !
I like Celestron products for giving great value for money, simple and straightforward with a quality beyond their public perception and cost.
Having sold my astronomical telescopes and mounts picked these up to tide my astro-addiction over until the new 'scope arrived, and also thought they would be good for a bit of wildlife watching.
More than pleasantly surprised, when arrived next day. great attractive box and packaging if you wanted to give them as a gift, really well packed with plastic bags, foam blocks moisture absorbers.
Inside binoculars come with a nice soft case, strap, cleaning cloth and really well fitting caps for the optics. A nice weight and a solid build despite the plastic parts. Nice traditional styling and good quality looking lenses. Firm, but positive focus wheel, in orange, which is a nice touch for astro work. Diopter compensation, essential for me too. A little bit of play on the focussing due to simple design, but not an issue. Also, they feels solid and non slip in use.
Being 20x50s the magnification and field of view are a bit more specialises and thus resticts close focus (clearly not a problem for astronomy !). Have found the contrast to be a slight bit low for terrestrial work, but very clear indeed otherwise. At this magnification the inexperienced user might benefit from a tripod clamp.
Using them on a decent bean bag acheived a lovely view of Jupiter and could easily pick out 2 moons without spending any time acclimatising my night vision. Looking forward to trying them on the Moon and Pleiades next.
Highly recommended, a very happy customer indeed.

The price alone made these binoculars worth a try. I already own a nice pair of 10x50 Visionking binoculars and I wanted something a bit more powerful for some casual stargazing in the back garden.

When I received them, I tried them out in the back garden. I was initially shocked and a little disappointed at the small field of view when compared to my 10x50's. But I took them out at night to have a little look around at the stars.

I live in Stevenage, Hertfordshire and the town suffers from the usual amount of light pollution. I first looked at the crescent moon and I was pleasantly surprise to see the whole moon (earthlit shadow included) fit nicely into the field of view. I then turned to Orion and to my joy the nebula was there and the stars looked fantastic. Don't think that you'll see any thing more that a faint wispy cloud, because you won't. The same applied to the Andromeda Galaxy, a faint smudge of a cloud, but there none the less. I also checked out the Pleiades, which also sat nicely in the field of view.

Okay, don't expect anything ground breaking here but as cheap binoculars go they are really nice to explore the night sky with. I would love to have these with me at a dark sky site, just to see what I can see.

One more thing, I find that I'm a bit shaky when holding them and I'm thinking of investing in a tripod and adaptor for them. These ironically will cost me more that the binoculars alone. So it kind of proves their value, they are cheap but they aren't all that bad.

I recommend this binoculars, used them on a safari trip to watch animals and birds at far a way distance a dn the viewing quality is very good, It take some time to adjust them to have a good image but when done he image is quite bright and clear. They are not very sturdy but last the trip without any problems.

Good value for money
