Name that object. 23 May 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a GOTO scope - that is the part that is computerised. It helps you align, find and view more objects than the telescope can resolve. If you want to see more, buy a bigger scope but this will cost you a lot more. The finder is difficult to use if you wear varifocal glasses - I added a red laser finder with a couple of jubilee clips at a cost of about a tenner from awell known web based auction site..

Excellent Service 14 Sep 2011
By J. S. Barlow - Published on Amazon.com
Amazon Verified Purchase
I purchased this item from Amazon, and while the telescope itself worked fine, the remote and motor did not work. Since I purchased it for the computerized motor, I was disappointed. I contacted Celestron and they accurately diagnosed it using the error codes on the remote. Their prompt, courteous and accurate response along with the efforts of Amazon to handle the exchange made it an excellent transaction in spite of initial disappointment. If you plan to use it for extended viewing, purchase the ac adapter, 8 AA batteries last 45 minutes. Don't forget the computer cables (2) to make it functional with the software.
