For the price these binocs are good- esp good for those 'first timers'.
They aren't too heavy and slightly water resistant which is good in the rain, and for the price should you lose or drop them, then you haven't lost anything too valuable. Comes with a bag and lens covers too.
The focus ring I found was very tight and difficult to move even with 2 or 3 fingers, despite putting free-ing oil on them, but could be just my pair. And because of the price, the optics aren't brilliant, again good for the money but the outside of the centre view is blurred when in focus. Also poor for close-up focusing.
Looking back I'm glad of my purchase because they are good 'knock abouts', but I will be changing to a better pair soon because of the above comment. My advice: spend a little more and get something that will last longer
