During the late 70's several jazz artists embraced the jazz/funk storm that Miles Davis had ushered in with BITCHES' BREW. Donald Byrd introduced the Blackbyrds and Norman Connors introduced Acquarian Dream. Both groups had multi talented performers with skills in song writing, vocal, and instrumental skills. Aquarian Dream after their first two albums changed their name and while lending support to Connors other acts made this 3rd album. At least one song is either a cover or directly from one of the earlier albums. While the vocal tracks are a mix of ballads and mild up tempo tracks the instrumentals are in the smooth jazz category of Spyrogyra, Kool and the Gang, Ramsey Lewis,Caldera, and many other groups that floated on the airwaves in the late 70's and 80's. I remember enjoying this record especially the instrumental tracks. Though the cd is rather pricey right now I look forward to obtaining it when it is more affordable. Down Memory Lane- I remember buying the record new for $1 in the bargain rack because the group was just lost in the shuffle of many other groups and artists as the smooth jazz market increased.
