i have this on vinyl, one of the more rare lp,s from 1980 i think.
all we need now is wayne henderson.s lp with lady bug
fave track on this lp is the mellow new york new york
but the 2 cover songs "the genie" and "youre a star" make this a classic of the jazz-funk genre

All Those Things 1 Sep 2011
By Wouter - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Hello there,

For years now i am looking for a song called "Äll Those Things".
I'm curious if this is the one !
Possible to create a soundtrack of this song on this page of Starship Orchestra-Celestial Sky or any other suggestion where i can listen to it shortly ? I'll recognized at once, my memory is still good !
If that's the one i'll buy the record for sure !

Thanks anyway

connors' progeny 6 Feb 2010
By A. Flynt - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
During the late 70's several jazz artists embraced the jazz/funk storm that Miles Davis had ushered in with BITCHES' BREW. Donald Byrd introduced the Blackbyrds and Norman Connors introduced Acquarian Dream. Both groups had multi talented performers with skills in song writing, vocal, and instrumental skills. Aquarian Dream after their first two albums changed their name and while lending support to Connors other acts made this 3rd album. At least one song is either a cover or directly from one of the earlier albums. While the vocal tracks are a mix of ballads and mild up tempo tracks the instrumentals are in the smooth jazz category of Spyrogyra, Kool and the Gang, Ramsey Lewis,Caldera, and many other groups that floated on the airwaves in the late 70's and 80's. I remember enjoying this record especially the instrumental tracks. Though the cd is rather pricey right now I look forward to obtaining it when it is more affordable. Down Memory Lane- I remember buying the record new for $1 in the bargain rack because the group was just lost in the shuffle of many other groups and artists as the smooth jazz market increased.

I have been unable to find the song New York, New York City anywhere but on this album. Finally, they put in on CD so I was able to get rid of my vinyl.
