I bought this book as a present for myself and love it! Its one of those coffee table books once you pick up you can't put down. There are excellent portraits of a large selection of celebs in different eras. When a photo says so much it doesn't need words there are many that match this description. One of my favourites is of Faye Dunaway, sitting slumped in a garden chair by a huge swimming pool, draped in a silk dressing gown, surrounded by newspapers at 6am, the morning after winning an Oscar (which is on the table next to her) the night before, & being up all night. So many of the photos capture the mood and atmosphere of the moment. This is what I look for in a photography book, people I recognise or have character and pictures you cannot tear yourself away from. Some books can be so self indulgent and pretencious but this book has it all for me. If you love people photography then I challenge you to not fall in love with at least one of the excellent collection that is here
