Product Description

CD Description

N'Sync's third album 'Celebrity' moves away from traditional teenage pop for a more mature sound. Brian Transeau's production gives the album a more cutting edge style. The singles 'Pop' and the Neptunes remix of 'Girlfriend' are included alongside numerous bonus tracks.

4.0 out of 5 stars Celebrity Life!, 28 May 2002
When I first brought this album, I wasn't a fan of NSync's music and I was very pessimistic. But I can honestly say that this is a great third album. With the infamous 'Pop' single being the first track on the album then going through the mix of a variety of other songs, which make up the album. It's still very much a pop album but it has a slightly different sound from what you might be expecting. These boys are definately not afraid to try something new; something to shock their legions of fans. Ususually with a pop album like this one, I would expect quite a few ballads, and this one is an exception to that Boy Band rule. There are only 4 ballads on a 15 track album. Really, quite surprising. Songs to look out for on this album are the computer game style, 'The Game Is Over', the soppy love song 'Selfish' and the clubby 'Up Against The Wall'. If you're an NSync fan, you'll definately love this, even if you're not an Nsync fan, there's going to be something on here for you! Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars the best "pop" album about, 16 Jan 2004
This album is quite simply fantastic, from start to finish, each track will leave you wondering what the next one will sound like. From the fantastic singles "pop" and "Girlfriend", and the groundbreaking ballad "Gone", to other equally impressive songs "Up against the wall" and "The two of us" this album starts at a high level and keeps it there right till the end.

Please note though, it is obviously a POP album, if you don't like pop, you probably won't like this. If you do however, you won't find anything better.

3.0 out of 5 stars Something Different, 25 Mar 2003
The all singing, all dancing quintet return to produce their most mature work to date. The driving force behind Nsyncs success, JC Chasez and the now solo Justin Timberlake inherit their very own pens and co-write almost every song on the album. They manage to explore many different genres from Dance to R&B, but always seem to come back to Pop, this maybe owing to the Record label still requiring sales from the younger part of the world.
The album is a worth while purchase for the fact it goes where no other boy band has gone before, however if you are after the high pitched ballads of boybands passed then I recommend the purchase of "No Strings Attached" Nsync's third release, which is a much more tried and tested method.
The better songs found on this album include the close to solo effort from Mr. Timberlake on "Gone", BT's electric dancefloor filler "Pop" and the song finely produced by the ever-growing Neptunes, "Girlfriend". These three were the singles released from the album, but don't let that be a deterant from the rest of the album.
Overall this is a mature effort from a very much pop group. There are outstanding tracks with none of them breaking too many barriers for the lack of or excess quality. Don't rush into buying it

Upon listening to this album I thought that it was very poppy, but that may be due to the fact that I almost never buy pop albums. Read more
