5.0 out of 5 stars Laughter and tears, 28 Feb 2009
By
This review is from: Celebrity Life Can be a Drag (Paperback)
I don't think I have laughed so much, or ever cried when reading a book. Written in a casual format, based on many interviews with one of the UK's best loved Drag Queens, Lady Sapphire Dior reveals so much about her terrible childhood, and how she became a star. Add to this, all the tips and tricks used by professional female impersonators, and this book is a must for anyone that has ever wondered why Drag Queens do what they do.

Sapphire lays her life bare for all to see, and tells personal secrets that will shock you.

It is true that this story will never win a Booker Prize, but that isn't the purpose. The information within, along with the rollercoaster ride of emotions that you are taken on, make this one of the top Drag Queen auto biographies ever published.

1.0 out of 5 stars Oh dear!, 18 Feb 2009
This review is from: Celebrity Life Can be a Drag (Paperback)
Glen Oxenham aka Ryan Carrington aka Lady Sapphire Dior.
What a disappontment. This "book" is so badly written, its dreadful.Wonder how much it cost Glen to get it published?Factually it is incorrect in a lot of places but hey,Glen has never let the truth get in the way of a good story except that this is'nt a good story. Its boring, rambling and dull dull dull.
