For evey up there is a down and for every down there is an up, thankfully her downs have been very few and far between, shes the most consistently succesful pop star ever, even when her albums hit low sales points (Erotica, American Life are the only 2) the singles released, usually, storm the top 10 with futuristic vibes and an accompanying artistic video. Celebration is a timely point in her career, when most artists at 50 have withered and succumbed to the ageist view of the media, she, Madonna, battles on and continues to go against the grain and defy all taboo's. People who think she isnt breaking rules anymore???? Think again.... the only taboo left is the one shes breaking now, her age!! And im glad, Madonna WILL have the last laugh, Celebration wether it hits number 1 or not is a success for simply being released!! Only Cher could lay claim at 54 to having a number 1 dance anthem with Believe, maybe its time Madonna broke that claim, i hope she does. Its a great tune, right on the pulse, no-nonsense dance off fun, more listener, dancefloor friendly than anything on Confessions, its hits a beat and sets the floor alight with its 90's esque trance/house clubbed vibe, its the sound of the next decade and you heard it here first.
