Product Description

Product Description

A small rhyming story about a seahorse and his human friends. Cedric The Seahorse emerged from a wave onto a shingle beach in Suffolk in the early summer of 1998. The stories about Cedric are in a simple rhyming form with natural momentum that is easy for children to read. The illustrations are colourful, amusing and full of detail to entertain young children when the story is being read to them. Cedric has some very human failings that make him an endearing and 'real' character. He and his friend Polly have a series of adventures that highlight the differences between their two lives.

About the Author

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice stories, 28 Jun 2009
This review is from: Cedric the Seahorse (Paperback)
My grandchildren love Cedric and his friends. The stories are just right for bedtime, and the excellent illustrations really bring the tales to life. It's easy to involve small children when the story relates to things they know from everyday life - with a bit of added magic thrown in.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cedric is a hit!, 4 Nov 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Cedric the Seahorse (Paperback)
I bought this story and the new one, 'Cedrics day at the castle' for my nieces who are aged four and five and they absolutely love them. The rhyming they found fun and it made them want to read it again and again which can't be bad! The illustrations are superb, bringing the story to life on every page in a really animated style.

Also recommended are the worksheets available for download on the cedrictheseahorse.co.uk website. There are black and white versions of the art from the book to colour-in etc.
There aren't many rhyming children's book about these days so I think these ones are pretty special. Recommended.
