I've read a lot of autobiographies over the past year, and this one is without a doubt one of the best. It goes into detail about pretty much every point in his life - his struggles, the background to various songs and so on. Above all it's very well written.
I'd recommend giving the preview on Amazon a read if you're able to, as that's what sold it to me.
And no, you don't need to be a BEP fan. I wasn't, I only vaguely knew who Taboo was, but I'm very glad I read it as it is quite inspiring yet at the same time allowing us to see a person who's made many a mistake in his life.
Overall - it's brilliant. Will be a lot better than most other autobiographies you read.
