5.0 out of 5 stars Typical Foster magic....Brilliant! 19 Feb 2007
By Noosh
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I love Lori Foster books and this was not a let down. The book is about Dean aka Havoc on the SBC circuit, who was ripped from his childhood home by no fault of his own. He grew up with his uncle not knowing his sisters (Cam and Jacki). Dean wins his latest fight on the next morning a letter for Cam arrives out of the blue. Dean detects an under current of despiration to the letter and decides to go. On his first night in town, before he meets his sisters, he goes to the bar (which he hates) and meets Eve. Major sparks fly but they don't get together. The next day when Dean goes to his sisters home who should turn out to be Cam's best friend...Eve, who happens to be regailing Cam about this hunky guy she met the previous evening. The story goes on looking at Dean trying not to be a big brother, because he doesn't want that type of relationship with them, building his relationship with Eve and trying to solve a mystry. A brilliant read with some laugh out loud parts and some really touching parts (Deans Tattoo). Totally worth the money!

5.0 out of 5 stars My heart beats for her heros! 27 Jun 2007
By Betsy
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Ok, so it sounds sappy, sloppy and, lets face it, sometimes quite sad, but I am in love with many, many men, all created by Lori Foster. I have been an avid reader of Lori's books for many years that I (almost) physically yearn for the next, and Causing Havoc was no exception. No matter how many women try to deny it the allure of a strong man can be powerful. Dean "Havoc" Connor is a fighter who returns to his home town to rescue the sisters he never thought he would see again, you cannot fail to fall for this man. Reading the emotional journey of this champion fighter makes you heart beat faster. He is not only a champion in the ring but to his reunited family, his friends and Eve the amazing woman he meets on his return, going out of his way to save all of them in one way or another. The story grabs you quickly and you yearn for every piece of additional information about all the characters (don't even get me started on Deans fighter friends!). My only complaint is that, to my knowledge, these men do not really exist, but if anyone has evidence to the contrary please let me know, I would love to meet them!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars suprisinglt average 20 Feb 2008
Format:Mass Market Paperback
i love lori foster but i found this book very average and disappointing as it was the first in the series. the story took too long to develope. I felt that the author was feeling space and this had me jumping a few lines and pages. Not enough time was spent on the main chararcters and other charachers deserved their own novels. This is because you read ovout the other characters and you get interested and Foster cutts you off. I struggled to want to read this book. Unlike other foster books like Just A Hint Clint(which by the way is a must have)you felt rushed yet the story did not go anywhere. This is not for people who want fast
paced story, more a month long leisure read. I am not sure i will buy the other books in this Fighter series
