Review
aimed at final-year veterinary students and new graduates, but would equally be appreciated by practitioners wishing to rev up their knowledge of farm animal medicine... a gem of a book for revision and to reinforce learning – and it is small enough to be popped in a bag or kept in the glove compartment of a car. The cases offer a wide spectrum of problems... The cattle [and] sheep cases are equally varied... Cattle and sheep medicine... is appropriate for self-review in preparation for a viva voce-type examination for undergraduate veterinary students, or veterinary graduates seeking postgraduate recognition, and it could well be of assistance to examiners of those same candidates. There are a number of books that address ruminant health.. but they do not have images or the clinical practicality of this book. This is a very useable book for students or entry level practitioners to gain an understanding of common ruminant diseases and their appearance. Product Description
SELF-ASSESSMENT COLOUR REVIEWS IN VETERINARY MEDICINE: Each book covers a specialist area of veterinary medicine and the format enables the reader to consider a problem fully and then devise a solution. The latest addition to the highly regarded and respected series aims to cover all aspects of cattle and sheep medicine. The 222 illustrated clinical cases are divided equally between cattle and sheep. The cases appear randomly to reflect real life practice and are presented as integrated questions, photographs and detailed explanatory answers—to educate not just to test. The book appeals to professionals in practice and in universities, and to veterinary students. (20110312)
