Review

Praise for How Cats Really Work!:
“Alan Snow’s cross-hatch cartoon style illustration is the perfect foil for his deadpan text. This book - and its predecessor about dogs - could become something of a cult.” The Scotsman

“Snow keeps up the pseudo-scientific tone throughout, making the book look like many genuine information books, even to the index.” Junior Bookshelf

“Very amusing and original, aimed at children, but would entertain adults too.” Cat World

Praise for How Dogs Really Work!:
“One of the funniest books about dogs that I’ve ever read. The details drawings treat dogs like machines, there are some hilarious notes and details, yet the text has a serious side too.” Books for Keeps

By ELH Browning VINE VOICE
Format:Paperback
The book contains brilliant diagrammatic pictures portraying cats as spaceships from a far-off planet called Nip manned by microcats, little tiny cat beings. This fake information book covers their mission on earth, and their relationships with humans, dogs and the fish trade. It's very funny indeed, though obviously very foolish. My children love the intricate workings inside the cat-spaceships and the idea that they are merely intergalactic vessels. This is an inspired take on a popular household pet that will appeal to cat lovers of all ages who have a childish streak, as well as the audience for whom it's primarily intended, the 4-8s. Brilliant, and, as it is more off-beat, even better than its fantastic partner How Dogs Really Work. Highly recommended.
