This is the true story of 2 cats, and their lives with their owners, Marilyn and Michael. Perfect for any cat lover, but also for anyone who has a heart. It's guaranteed to move you, and will stay in your head long after you've finished it.

If you have even a vague liking for cats, this is THE book you have been waiting for. Warm, funny, emotional - the adjectives could go on forever. The powers of observation shown by the author are remarkably accurate and the illustrations by Peter Warner are more life-like than most I have seen. It is mainly the story of two cats - one elderly and one kitten - and the humans who are involved in their lives. An extra special book in so many ways, it was a joy to read.

I read this book 2 weeks after loosing my 14 year old cat Shelley and wondered if it was too soon. It was a great read - I laughed and cried throughout. The lives of Marilyn and Michael interwoven with the lives of Septi and Otto is brilliantly written with real feeling. I look forward to the next book this author writes.
