I very much enjoyed reading this.It is supremely written.My one criticism, it is not long enough. I was sorry when it ended.A charming story, one which the reader can connect to the main characters. I would have loved this to have been a full,complete novel - something to really get your teeth into. A great read and one I recommend.

It's a well written little story and a good story line, but, I found it in parts a little repetitive and some of the historical research could do with sharpening up a little. For example, I don't think anyone in the Regency period said "gotten" ?? I may be wrong, but ... Also, our heroine lives in the gatehouse of the "big house". The big house is in need of repair so we can assume it is a few years old at least - likewise the gatehouse. Yet, in her well equipped little gatehouse she has a water closet. OK water closets had been invented by then but I doubt if the gatehouse had one. I wonder why this particular fact was mentioned - it does not add anything to the story so could easily just be removed.

I think with a little editing the story would be much improved.

A thoroughly enjoyable and feel good read. My only critisism is it was too short and would have made an excellent full book. Highly recommended if you are looking for a romance with a nice feel good ending. I will definitely check out other work by this author.
